(PresseBox) - With the S185EDV, FITEL presents, for the first time, a laboratory splicer with an integrated end view system. This model, which is distributed by LASER COMPONENTS, allows technicians to also keep an eye on the fiber end faces during the splicing process. For example, hollow-core fibers, multicore fibers, and other optical fibers with complex core structures can be precisely aligned.

The composite image technology of the FITEL S185EDV also shows the cross-sectional images of both fibers in a superimposed view. This makes it possible to precisely check their alignment during fine tuning.

This device also offers its usual high precision even in the classic side-view mode (PAS). This makes the S185EDV one of the most versatile battery-powered splicers on the market.
