DALUT31 Series Combines 4x the Signal With Added SNR Improvement
Eliminates Common Mode Noise With a Differential and a Thin Chip That Boosts Signal Output
(PresseBox) - LASER COMPONENTS introduces the?DALUT31 Series Voltage Mode Differential Ultrathin LTO Pyroelectric Detectors, engineered to minimize noise with increased responsivity with a differential output. By utilizing an ultrathin LTO crystal, these detectors offer a new advancement to the standard?Advanced LTO Infrared Detectors?that bridge the benefits of?standard LTO?and?DLaTGS detectors.??
Similar to the previous?ALT31/ALUT31 Series, by combining a 1.3 mm diameter circular active area of thin LTO with four quadrants that are connected in series, the Advanced LTO Infrared Detectors increase signal by four times. However, noise addition is in quadrature, resulting in a lower noise increase at two times the signal. The detectivity (D*) significantly increases through this unique design by a factor of two, bringing detector performance within reach of DLaTGS detectors.?
The new DALUT31 Series of Advanced LTO Infrared Detectors add to these benefits with?Differential Pyroelectric Detector?technology. Under real-world measurement conditions, the signal-to-noise ratio of the entire system therefore improves by more than just the square root of 2. In addition to the improvement of SNR, noise reduction occurs due to differential that eliminates common mode noise, dependent on environmental sources.??
Packaged in a TO-39 hermetically sealed housing, within an?ISO 9001-certified clean room, the DALUT31 series is tested for harsh environmental conditions and produces a reliable performance for scientific applications. With a modular design, the Advanced Infrared LTO Detectors are capable of customization to best meet the requirements of each system.?Fourier Transform Infrared (FTIR) spectroscopy,?non-dispersive infrared (NDIR) spectroscopy, and terahertz (THz) detection are well suited?analytical applications?for the DALUT31 Series. By bringing the stability of an LTO detector and the broadband sensitivity of this unique semiconductor technology, the DALUT31 Series offers a new level of flexibility and performance to spectroscopy.?
