Hansen Parameters in focus of January 2022 Conference

(PresseBox) - International Conference puts one focus on Hansen Solubility Parameters (HSP) respectively Hansen Dispersibility Parameters (HDP).

From 24-25 January 2022 LUM GmbH hosts the next, now traditional International Conference for Dispersion Analysis & Materials Testing. For the frst time, the conference will be held exclusively online. One focus is put on Hansen Solubility Parameters (HSP) respectively Hansen Dispersibility Parameters (HDP), which allow for e.g.:

# identifying the optimum composition of multi-component solvent mixtures for dispersing multi-component particle collectives

# describing the properties of the pigment surfaces, thus providing a direct link to the possible interactions between particles and matrix components

# a systematic investigation of the stability of carbon dispersions in different organic solvents.

Moreover, a classifcation system based on particle size distributions (PSDs) is proposed that can be used to assist in obtaining Hansen parameters for comparison between different photocatalysts, particularly in the context of VOC adsorption.
