Where does electricity come from- From the socket!
More precisely: From Wunderlich's new USB charging box
(PresseBox) - The think tank of the BMW specialists from Grafschaft Ringen (Germany) is known for developing pragmatic, functional products that noticeably improve the rider?s experience. These components are so well thought out; it makes you wonder: why hasn?t anyone thought of this before? The new USB charging box, which works like a power socket on your motorcycle, undoubtedly falls into this category.
The handy USB charging box fits all BMW motorcycles with the standard navigation system (Navigator V, VI). Instead of the navigator, the item plugs and locks into the BMW navigation mount and has a theft-proof feature. The power is supplied through the navigation mount contacts.
Two Rapid Charging Ports USB A and USB C
The product has two standard USB ports, USB 3.1 type A and USB 3.1 type C, on the right side. Both ports meet the QC 3.0 and QC 4.0 (QC = Quick Charge) standards for the rapid charging ports. The box?s activity is indicated by a visible blue LED light located above the two USB slots. The box itself has a splash-proof design, and when not in use, the USB slots can be covered with the included elastomer covers for water and particle protection.
More than just a charging box!
At the front, the charging box is equipped with four threaded sockets fitted with the proper screws. These are arranged to be fitted to various mounting and navigation systems such as the Garmin Zumo XT. This feature allows the box to become a helpful adapter. The mounting systems can be inserted into the charging box efficiently, saving space and secretly connecting the devices to the onboard power supply.
Aside from the ?Universal? version described above, the Ringen-based company offers two other versions that work in unison with the USB charging box. These versions include the Multiclamp and SP-Connect mounting systems, which efficiently and safely attach smartphones to the charging box and operate at a recommended ergonomic viewing angle.
For the ?Multiclamp,? Wunderlich supplies the USB charging box with the Multiclamp adapter, which is compatible with the Wunderlich MultiClamp system: For example, this can be equipped with the smartphone mount (Item-No.: 45155-102).
A third option offered by the BMW specialists for the charging box is in a set with the SP-Connect adapter. This is compatible with the vast array of SP-Connect products combined with the correct smartphone case (Item-No.: 45150-XXX).
Sustainability without Compromise- Wunderlich ?BLAU?
The Wunderlich charging box is made responsibly using a hybrid material made of recycled plastics, reinforced with glass fibers making up 20% of the product. Essential characteristics include low component weight and high housing strength. This combination displays the quality of the product, does its part in preserving the environment, and emphasizes component stability.
Wunderlich offers the USB charging box ?Universal? for 90,90?*. The ?MultiClamp?and ?SP-Connect? variants are priced at ?119.90*, each with a 5-year warranty included.
