Species protection applies to the friendly bumblebee. The Wunderlich technicians, who specialise in high-quality components for BMW motorbikes, take care of the protection of the R nineT Urban G/S. They have created a matching engine guard that looks wonderful in yellow and stands out boldly against the black engine! The engineers from Ringen have further developed the proven shape both technically and visually.
The tubular structure made of 25 mm precision steel tubing - wall thickness 2 mm - promises maximum protection through maximum rigidity with minimum weight. It is supported at a total of six mounting points so that the energy, forces and moments that occur during external mechanical stress are distributed across the structure and corresponding load peaks are dissipated.
In this way, the engine guard protects the cylinders, the lambda sensors and the valve covers. These are framed twice, namely by stabilising tube segments arranged at the sides and below the valve cover. They are designed for not preventing during maintenance work and the ground clearance is not restricted. Assembly is plug-n-play, as usual with Wunderlich.
