Start of the state-of-the-art HPF production facility in South Korea
Milestone in history of Quarzwerke Group
(PresseBox) - In the first quarter of 2021, the official start of a new HPF production plant for high-performance fillers will take place in Dangjin, South Korea. The investment underlines the growth course of the innovative Quarzwerke division HPF The Mineral Engineers in Asia.
After the Quarzwerke Group has long had more than 30 production sites in Europe, the leap to Asia will succeed in 2021. A world-class production plant with the latest technology and the highest safety and sustainability requirements was built in Dangjin City. The wholly owned subsidiary HPF Minerals Tech Ltd. was founded for this purpose. Ultra-modern aggregates for processing mineral raw materials are available in different sizes. Minerals can be crushed and surface modified from the millimetre to the few hundred nanometre range. After successful test productions, the new plant will be officially go operational in the first quarter of 2021 in order to meet the growing demand for innovative filler solutions.
HPF expertise now also in Asia
The surface treatment of mineral fillers with silane-based compounds specially adapted to the customer''s polymer optimally exploits the positive properties of the inorganic filler. Grades of the well-known SILBONDes round off the production range.

The Quarzwerke division HPF The Mineral Engineers has been developing and selling high performance fillers and additives for polymer systems based on natural and synthetic minerals for years. HPF has its own sales offices in Seoul, South Korea (HPF Minerals Ltd.) and near Milan, Italy (HPF Italia S.r.l.). In 2021, HPF Minerals Tech Ltd. state-of-the art production plant goes into operation in Dangjin, South Korea. The high-performance fillers produced there in proven quality will be supplied to the entire Asian region.
