Wunderlich's sporty EDITION 35 passenger seat for the BMW R 1250 GS
(PresseBox) - On the occasion of the 35th anniversary of the company, the BMW specialists presented various campaigns and components at Wunderlich 2020. These undoubtedly include the two sensational Wunderlich interpretations R 1250 GS EDITION 35 #1 and EDITION 35 #2, both are based on the current BMW R 1250 GS. The Ringen-based company had designed the R 1250 GS EDITION 35 #2 to be extremely sporty and had also created a passenger seat that would definitely do justice to the high sporting standards of this special GS. Since #2 was presented by Wunderlich Managing Director Frank Hoffmann in August, numerous enquiries have been received as to whether, and if so when, Wunderlich would offer this flat, low and puristic passenger seat.
Frank Hoffmann: ?Here it is! The EDITION 35 in the colour scheme, but also in the unique sporty shape, which is also expressed in the seat height which has been lowered by 40 mm!?
Wunderlich manufactures the passenger seat with a specifically adapted 3D seat contour due to the height reduced by 40 mm. The shape and inclination of the elaborately processed, progressively constructed, two-layer seat core support the ergonomically advantageous, natural posture of the pelvis when riding. The support contour integrated in the front area of the seat, which provides additional secure support when braking, is flatter and less pronounced than on the standard Wunderlich passenger seats - this is due to the stringently sporty character of the seat, which was clearly the main focus of this project.
Integrated in this way, it provides a sporty, relaxed, active and safe riding experience. The seat is equipped with the in-house ThermoPro coating. Depending on the ambient conditions, the temperature of this seat is up to 25
