Colorful barrels for northern Kentucky
(PresseBox) - On the 3rd of October 2019 the Kentucky''s Edge Bourbon Conference & Festival kicked off inFlottweg sponsored the event and helped highlight the history and significance of the bourbon industry for Kentucky by commissioning bourbon barrels, by renowned local artists.
Flottweg centrifuges have been used for decades to process beverages and spirits.
The Kentucky''s Edge Bourbon Conference & Festival not only allowed Flottweg to highlight its commitment to Bourbon but also to connect with the community. Local artist had creative freedom to show their own interpretation of this reality. The resulting pieces were an abstract depiction of centrifugal liquids, representing the separation and refinement, as well as a historical Bavarian church inspired composition to identify the roots of the firm.
During the festival, the barrels were exhibited in the entertainment and business district of Newport Kentucky and served as guides to different parties.
The barrels are also repurposed after the festival. They were situated in public places in northern Kentucky.
