The Arvato Smart Logistics Platform supports efforts to close digitalization gaps in the supply chain
Computerwoche, ChannelPartner, and CIO-Magazin, together with Dimension Data, put a call out for companies of different sizes and in different sectors to apply for the Digital Leader Award 2018. The organizers showcased Germany?s digital trailblazers for the third time in a row with this award, and provided a broad platform for the topic of leadership in the digital age.
The team led by Bernd Jaschinski-Sch& Digitalization at Arvato Systems, qualified as a finalist in one of the seven categories (?Create Impact?) with the Arvato Smart Logistics Platform (ASLP). The seven-member jury honored integrated digitalization projects that contribute to transforming organizational structures and processes of the applicant or its clients in this category. The team received the much-coveted award at a gala in Bolle-Fests

The Arvato Smart Logistics Platform is a digital cloud-based modular system that can be used to either carry out individual logistics processes via apps while on the go, which means you can go paperless, or even interconnect cross-company product flows such as those related to container management. This significantly improves efficiency, processing times, and error rates in processes. In seeking to achieve end-to-end digitalization of all business processes, the ASLP uses standard interfaces to enterprise resource planning/warehouse management systems, a control center based on real data, flexible processes and configuration options, a user interface, and administration functions to avoid stand-alone solutions. These can be used to orchestrate internal and company-wide logistics processes, as well as to execute them in a mobile fashion via smart wearables such as smartwatches.
