Carl Bell Joins Invictus Capital Partners as a Managing Director, Co-Head of Investments
(firmenpresse) - WASHINGTON, DC -- (Marketwired) -- 06/02/15 -- Michael W. Warden, CEO of Invictus Capital Partners, today announced that Carl D. Bell, CFA, has joined the Firm as a Managing Director and Co-Head of Investments. Invictus is an employee-owned institutional alternative asset manager with a focus on opportunistic credit strategies.
As Co-Head of Investments, Mr. Bell will focus on the analysis and management of credit assets identified from the full spectrum of consumer, real estate and corporate obligations.

During his 24 years managing fixed income investments, Mr. Bell has developed substantial sector expertise in the area of structured credit instruments, including high yield and distressed real estate credit. Since 2008, he has been particularly focused on opportunities related to U.S. housing and the broader shift in credit formation away from the traditional banking system.
Most recently, Mr. Bell was Deputy CIO and Head of Securitized Credit for Amundi Smith Breeden (2013-2015). Previously, Mr. Bell was co-Founder of Five Ten Capital, an investment management firm focused on deploying debt and equity capital into the single-family rental sector (2011-2013). Earlier, Mr. Bell served as Managing Director and Team Leader for Structured Credit at Putnam Investments (1998-2011). Prior to that, he worked on a variety of portfolio management and advisory assignments, and served as Director of Research at Smith Breeden Associates (1991-1997).
Mr. Bell holds an MBA from The Fuqua School of Business, Duke University where he was a Fuqua Scholar and received the James G. Hanes Scholarship. He earned a BS in Mathematics at Carnegie Mellon University
