Akotherm window engineering approved as NSHES
(firmenpresse) - Window systems engineered by Akotherm fully comply with the requirements of the new standard for "Natural smoke and heat exhaust systems" (NSHES). Improvements to detail in Akotherm window engineering have also been implemented.
The new NSHES standard came into force on 1 September 2006. "Natural smoke and heat exhaust systems (NSHES) must satisfy the requirements of DIN EN 12101 part 2. Testing and approval of the systems is by means of CE certification and CE marking", says the applications engineering department, explaining the new test requirements for this standard to us.
The Akotherm window systems were tested for their compliance with the new requirements even before the standard was amended, and were then approved just shortly after it came into force.
"Natural smoke exhaust – so what I mean is smoke control in the widest sense – has always been on the agenda at Akotherm", says Frank Schneider, CEO of Akotherm GmbH, at the same time alluding to the AT 600 smoke control door, which has constantly been very much in demand for a long time now.
Simple incorporation of punchable mortise crémone bolts enable the Akotherm window systems to be fine-tuned to an even greater degree. A special casement with a locating groove for KS fittings, a round glazing bead and other improvements all help to optimise the system. Akotherm window systems are also variable in terms of the degree of thermal insulation and what the regulations require. And as you would expect, all Akotherm window systems are by nature in an ideal position to easily obtain the CE marking.
