New version of"Hangar"with enhanced management features and performance optimizations
(PresseBox) - ATIX AG announces a new version of the cluster management software "Hangar". The innovative solution for Kubernetes clusters brings fundamental improvements in nodepool management, role-based access management, infrastructure overview, user management as well as performance and stability.
Nodepool management
The improved nodepool management provides greater clarity and scalability. Administrators can now manage clusters more efficiently as the Kubernetes API is relieved by a new cache mechanism and overall performance increases.
Nodepool management has been fundamentally improved to ensure better scalability and clarity.
The new cache mechanism via Informer reduces the load on the Kubernetes API and significantly improves performance.
Role-based access management
The new role concept makes access management simpler and more secure. Administrators benefit from clear responsibilities and can assign user roles more precisely.
SuperAdmin: Complete control over all clusters, including creation, deletion and infrastructure management
ClusterAdmin: Management of a specific cluster including user management and node scaling
ClusterUser: Access to the cluster overview for assigned clusters
Infrastructure Overview
The new Infrastructure Overview gives administrators a comprehensive view of the infrastructure cluster. Key status information is instantly visible, enabling faster response to issues.

Status of the control plane components
Overview of physical and virtual nodes with status information
Warnings for insufficient resources (pending nodes)
Improved user management
User management has been enhanced with practical features that make cluster creation and administration easier. Admins can now assign users more quickly and effectively.
Direct assignment of users during cluster creation
Role selection (admin/user) via a clear interface
Subsequent addition and removal of users in the cluster administration
Performance & stability
Targeted optimizations have made the platform more robust and secure. Administrators benefit from a more stable user experience and reduced risk of outages.
Optimized certificate management for more security
