Unitex Group acquires the Walter Hering KG (??Seil Hering?")
(PresseBox) - Walter Hering KG founded in 1936 is a traditional hanseatic company and managed in the third generation. The company Hering trades and assembles steel wire and fibre ropes and chains. The assembling includes hand-splices and mechanical swaging up to 3,000 tons. In addition, the company has two testing facilities with proof load capacity up to 40 and up to 1,000 tons. The Walter Hering KG employs around 35 people at its location in Hamburg.
The family-owned Unitex Group, based in the Netherlands and with locations worldwide, is one of the world s leading manufacturers and distributors in this sector. Unitex Group has acquired 100% of the shares in Walter Hering KG on 01.01.2023 and intends to continue the existing strategy using synergies within the group and to continue to grow at the site with the existing team.
This sustainable approach was of particular importance to the previous owners when selecting a partner for the acquisition. Marco Repetto, CEO of Unitex Group, confirms: "In the Walter Hering KG we have found a company with comparable values. With combined forces and the experienced team of employees, we will now continue to grow in Northern Germany."
