(PresseBox) - Together with its cooperation partner, maxcrc GmbH defines a new standard for the central administration of access controls.
An innovative software system visualizes transition areas in real time and summarizes different access controls in a homogeneous overall view. The main component is the central dashboard, on which all access systems connected to the Access Manager and all passage areas of an area are displayed and controlled on the desktop. This includes systems from Wanzl as well as external hardware components, which means that users can administrate any access control in a homogeneous overview in almost real time. If necessary, there is also the option of grouping commands and thus, for example, managing several devices at the same time, which in turn makes life easier for security personal. In addition to the overall overview, the current operating status of the individual devices can also be monitored via the dashboard. Events, such as unauthorized climbing or crawling under, are automatically displayed and logged by the manager, and statistics on visitor numbers or alarm messages are recorded as well. If necessary, a historical view of all events of the passage process is supported. If an access control is accidentally leaving in the open state, this will be detected by the software and presented on the user interface after a specified period of time in order to avoid unauthorized access.
For systems with special safety features, area monitoring for surrounding zones is also included, which means that a danger area can be defined. This additional sensor technology in the danger area is used for the systematic isolation of people, taking into account the customer-specific opening and closing scenarios.
The Access Manager is currently available in German and English, other languages can be requested on request. The communication in the dashboard with the systems takes place exclusively in encrypted form and can be used by authorized persons from anywhere if the network infrastructure is prepared having access to the software. Smartphones or tablets are also supported. Software updates are carried out online without additional service calls.
