(PresseBox) - The tubular frame of the R 1250 GS and the R 1200 GS LC and Adventure variants characterize the side view of the big GS. The triangular segment below the rider?s seat allows an unobstructed view of the rear wheel, swingarm mounts and shock absorber. In the rain, on unpaved terrain, however, the disadvantage of the open frame structure becomes apparent. Splash water and dirt are reaching the legs of the crew and the machine.

The frame covers constructed by the Wunderlich developers provide double protection: they protect the crew and the and machine effectively and reliably. The two halves of the fairing cover the side openings of the rear frame on the right and left. Blown up dirt, stone chips, splash water and spray are effectively caught or diverted before they reach the rider or passenger. Soiling of the machine is visibly reduced.
In the set for the R 1250 GS models from Euro 5 upwards (Item-No.: 20800-802), a precisely fitting opening in the righthand fairing even allows the standard on-board socket located under the seat to be relocated into the fairing itself. This improves accessibility to the on-board socket compared with the standard version and makes it extremely convenient.
The high-quality PP plastic used is generously dimensioned with a component thickness of 3 mm, while the shape provides additional stability and component rigidity. The material is through-colored black. The frame covers are easy to install and remove and blend in harmoniously under the rider?s seat.
The dynamic design with its moldings has a high recognition value, while remaining discreet and appearing unobtrusive and harmonious on the motorcycle.
These frame covers are prepared for the fitting of the tailormade DRYBAG side bags (Item-No.: 20800-400) and are each equipped with three LOXX quick-release fasteners.

These two functional DRYBAG side bags can be securely attached to or removed from the frame covers in no time at all using the LOXX quick-release fasteners on the inside. The bags are made of perfectly processed CORDURAerything that should be at hand on the road, such as tools or bandages. For neutral riding behavior, the mounting close to the overall center of gravity is particularly favorable. This is especially important in off-road use and does not restrict the rider?s or passenger?s freedom of movement in any way.
The functional, puristic design integrates perfectly and completes the appearance of the GS, making it look like a complete unit. Wunderlich offers the set of frame covers and DRYBAG side bags for ?239.00. The frame covers are also available separately, but without LOXX quick-release fasteners (Item-No.: 20800-602) for ?119.90*, and the DRYBAG side bags (Item-No.: 20800-400) for ?139.90*. There is a 60-day return policy and a 5-year warranty on all Wunderlich components mentioned.
