Otto Fuchs implements the next generation materials data base
(PresseBox) - Otto Fuchs KG in Meinerzhagen/Germany is a leading supplier of forgings in Aerospace and Automotive applications worldwide. Materials technology is a key success factor to create advanced solutions for components made from Nickel based superalloys, Titanium and Aluminium. Materials simulation and materials databases are indispensable elements of the IT-infrastructure and have been actively used for a long time.
Although it is always a potentially painful task to change the database infrastructure for this, Otto Fuchs has decided to upgrade to the Matplus EDA
The new system supports a number of use cases, like
access to materials data from over 100 years of experience
multi-site collaboration with labs and customers
the integration of advanced materials data into the IT-Infrastructure (SAP)
integrated lab data management for advanced materials tests
integrated functionality for materials modelling
support for ICME calculations using JMatPro
better usability for MMPDS aerospace standards data
flexible interfaces to CAD/CAE systems
?After a long evaluation period we decided to upgrade our existing materials data infrastructure to Matplus EDA
