(PresseBox) - The TLS Checklist Portal from Paderborn-based achelos GmbH is now listed in the TLS Checklist for Service Providers issued by the Federal Office for Information Security (BSI). The TLS Checklist is based on the specifications and recommendations of the technical guideline BSI TR-03116-4. The BSI is therefore supporting service providers in correctly and securely configuring the Transport Layer Security (TLS) protocol. With the TLS Checklist Portal, achelos offers free online inspection for the configuration of web pages on the basis of TR-03116-4. The security requirements designed for federal government applications are mandatory for service providers in this field. However, the web portal from achelos is freely available to use for companies of any kind and size in order to provide proof of a secure TLS network connection in line with the requirements of the BSI Checklist. The TR-03116-4 checklist from the Federal Office of Information Security (BSI) describes the requirements for the secure operation of websites. achelos fully maps this technical guideline via the TLS Checklist Inspector Portal and has developed a free, user-friendly web portal solution. The security check takes place once you have entered the domain. It takes just 90 seconds for a service provider to find out whether the website is configured in line with BSI specifications. The result of the check is displayed visually in the web portal and is immediately available on the screen. It indicates possible weaknesses and links directly with the relevant requirements of the BSI checklist. The tool checks aspects such as the correct configuration of certificates, cipher suites, protocols, or algorithms. Customers can receive more information and detailed reports upon request.
