Vodafone?s mobile network ranks first in Turkey
With an umlaut score of 853 out of a maximum of 1,000 points, Vodafone achieves the strongest score overall, Turkcell ranks second and Turk Telekom third.
(PresseBox) - Aachen, March 30, 2021 - umlaut, the global consultancy company and world leader in mobile network testing and benchmarking, has analysed the mobile networks of Turkey with regards to mobile coverage and performance quality. In the latest Audit Report umlaut evaluated the three mobile networks of Vodafone, Turkcell and Turk Telekom. Applying the umlaut methodology, which is acknowledged as the de-facto industry standard in more than 120 countries, umlaut conducted a drivetests-based analysis. The results show Vodafone as the overall winner of the country. Turkcell scores second and Turk Telekom third.
With an umlaut score of 853 out of a maximum of 1,000 points, Vodafone achieves the strongest score overall and shows a high quality network as well as high reliability in all tested services. Nationwide measurements prove a top quality voice experience for Vodafone users. Compared to measurements in 2019, Vodafone is showing major improvement achievements in Voice, Web Browsing and YouTube Services. The operator takes the lead in relevant KPIs for Voice with a reliability well above 99 per cent in urban areas and a call setup time faster than 2 seconds in average in all geographical areas. Also, it convinces with fast Web Browsing experience on famous live pages and high level YouTube Services reliability with 98,5 per cent success rate in cities.

Applying the umlaut methodology, a thorough drivetests-based analysis was conducted in October and November 2020. It covered major metropolitan areas, smaller cities and connection roads in Turkey. umlaut?s drive test cars covered 7,900 kilometres together. The areas selected account for roughly 37 per cent of the total population of Turkey.
umlaut?s top priority is to fairly and transparently assess the global digital infrastructure, to push its quality and performance with its benchmarks, audit reports and certificates. The next umlaut Mobile Benchmark for Turkey will be conducted in 2021.
