Institute, which belongs to the renowned publishing group Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung, awards the Swabian family-owned and traditional company RUD the title of ?Best German Family Business?. RUD now belongs to an exclusive circle of companies that have received the seal.
The award is a coveted quality mark demonstrating the reputation of a company where high standards are pursued. In a comprehensive study among 2600 family businesses, the F.A.Z ? Institute analysed the competence fields of product and service, innovation, sustainability, profitability, management performance and performance as an employer.

Family businesses are the backbone and support pillar of the German economy. Against this background, the F.A.Z ? Institute study performed the analysis on the basis of two different sources.
The so-called Social Listening method evaluates all texts with relevant search terms involving the companies in question. The source for this data was the Internet. The data was fragmented and analysed using the artificial intelligence method. In addition, selected data from the DDW Ranking, the master database of the German economy, was included.
The company RUD Ketten Rieger & Dietz GmbH u. Co. KG, founded in 1875 by Carl Rieger and Friedrich Dietz in the Swabian city of Aalen, Germany, achieves with over 1700 employees in more than 120 countries an annual turnover of 200 million Euro. At locations, among others in Germany, Australia, Brazil, China, India, Romania and the USA, the family business manufactures, apart from sling technology, lashing technology and Non-skid chains also hoist chains and conveyor systems. With the ERLAU brand, the German traditional company also manufactures tyre protection chains and property furnishings for indoor and outdoor areas.
