New market category of EBPA for digital business models
The use cases in the report include Supporting Digital Transformation by Linking Strategy to Execution, Improving Processes by Process Modeling and Analysis, Assessing the Impact of Change by Connecting Process Models with Enterprise Architecture, and Modeling and Preparing Business Processes for DigitalOps.

In the report, Gartner acknowledges the trend towards digital business models: "Propelled by digital business, which requires organizations transform the way in which they work, EBPA tools that address the strategy-to-execution or digital transformation use case are forming a distinctly new market category." For digital operations, this means that companies can use models to control process execution and predict and optimize operational results. Advanced analysis within a solution focused on DigitalOps enables the integration of real-time data to provide meaningful dashboards. The tools thus act as the center of a digital transformation, coordinating other IT systems and resources, making organizations more agile.
