Global automobile production has been stagnating since the global economic crisis without China - new Quest Trend Report

ID: 1551076

The new Quest Trend Report analyzes global auto production since the global economic crisis of 2007 to 2018 and the contribution of China and its market share to global auto production

(PresseBox) - World car production plunged to its crisis low in 2009. But one year later it had not only left this crisis low behind it, it had even surpassed its pre-crisis level! The jump in world car production was not primarily caused by subsidies in the USA or premiums in Germany.

The Quest Trend Report shows that the driving force behind this development was car production in China. In the decisive years from the end of 2007 to the end of 2010, China''s market share shot up from 12% to 24% - doubling within just three years.

China''s position in world car production is clearly illustrated by the Quest Trend Report for the eleven-year period from 2007 to 2018. During this period, global automobile production grew by a total of 30%, i.e. by 2.4% per year. Excluding China, it shrinks to a total of only 5%, stagnating at 0.4% per year.

The Quest Trend Report about world automobile production from 2007 to 2018 is available on https://www.quest-trendmagazine.com/en/automobile-industry/china/market-share-of-china-at-global-automobile-production.html

The facts of the Quest Trend Report prove that the aggressive policy of the Trump government "America first" takes place from a position of weakness, representing a flight forward.

This Quest Trend Report is a module of the comprehensive trend analyses of the worldwide automotive industry in the Quest Trend Magazine. The trend analyses include the internationalization of production sites, the world regions of car production, the share of car production in China at world car production, the market shares of the world market leaders and the market leaders in China.
