Possibilities for the thermal insulation of building facades with foamed polymers

(PresseBox) - Building insulation currently plays a decisive role in reducing energy consumption and consequently energy costs, and in reducing CO2 emissions from buildings, also in the context of efforts to improve the climate. At the same time, new regulations and requi-rements in the field of fire protection of buildings pose new challenges with regard to environmentally friendly yet highly effective flame retardants. The focus is also on sustainable materials, such as those made from renewable sources.

At BAU 2019 we will demonstrate the latest developments in the field of foaming tech-nologies and their application in the construction industry. This includes:

? Advanced insulation materials with improved insulation properties that enable more efficient thermal insulation of buildings with lower material use

? Foams with environmentally friendly halogen-free flame retardants

? Biofoams based on renewable and/or biodegradable raw materials, which can be produced as particle and extrusion foams, avoiding the use of fossil raw materials.
