Uniform format and layout with Direct Publishing from SEAL Systems
(PresseBox) - An important component of each customer project in plant- or special machine construction is the creation of complete and specific documentation of the respective product. The individual components of this overall documentation nearly always come from different sources, are in different formats and are of varying quality. With Direct Publishing, a software solution from SEAL Systems, this data and these files are automatically compiled in the right sequence into a new document with a uniform layout.
Complete documentation includes, for example, drawings, Excel tables, Word documents, maintenance documents, installation instructions and operating instructions. It is also often desirable to include 3D information. Compiling comprehensive documentation from these often distributed individual documents is usually laborious, lengthy and error prone work.
Automatic insertion of a table of contents and page numbers
The entire process of providing technical documentation can largely be automated and improved in quality by using Direct Publishing in the DPF technology of SEAL systems. With Direct Publishing, data and files are automatically compiled into a new document, even if they lie in distributed locations. With Direct Publishing the documentation will simultaneously and fully automatically receive a consistent layout and file format, as well as, for example, a table of contents and page numbers. The content and structure of the documentation can be efficiently extended and adjusted during creation or the project term. The documentation can then be delivered in paper or electronic format.
