iDTRONIC’s EVO UHF Stick Reader: New robust Housing — Same Functionality
(firmenpresse) - The EVO UHF Stick Reader is a compact RFID reader and writer with adjustable power up to a maximum of 100 mW. The maximum power of 100mW (+ 20dBm) can be controlled in 1dB steps via its software. Its practical USB 2.0 interface serves as both the power supply, as well as facilitating quick data transfer.
The UHF version supports RFID transponders according to ISO standard 18000-6C EPC
Class 1 generation 2. Thanks to the support of ETSI (865 - 868 MHz) and FCC (902 - 928
MHz) frequencies, it may be used globally.
The Stick Reader EVO UHF has a reading range of up to 30 cm
position, and environmental conditions. The stick has an integrated antenna that receives
linearly polarized signals. Thanks to its IP40 protection class, it can withstand the ingress of dust and other foreign objects up to 1 mm.

The UHF Stick Reader is priced very attractively compared to other UHF standards.
The new design of the EVO Stick Reader is timelessness in its simplicity. The case is
black and rectangular. The material of the reader is made of durable, long-lasting plastic
(ABS). The cover of the USB Reader is also removable.
The reader supports Windows XP, Vista, 7, 8, 8.1, 10. A software development kit for
Windows systems is available for download.
An optional HID (Human Interface Design) version is available. This allows access to the
device in all German Windows 7 versions. The computer then recognizes the device as an
input device.
Additionally, the reader has a plug-and-play function. The stick is ready for immediate use
without requiring installation.

The reader is an optimal solution for libraries and document management. Thanks to the
common USB interface, it can be used with almost any existing library computer system.
Thanks to its plug-and-play functionality setup is almost immediate. Due to the high reading range of 30 cm, library cards, books, and other documents do not have to be positioned directly on the reader. This reduces time, costs, and increases efficiency.
