Montville Holiday House got it''s start in 2008 when founders Nicola & Andrew Hungerford discovered the old port masters cottage after almost 6 months of scouring local real estate listings. "We fell in love with the Montville - Maleny area whilst holidaying there with our family, we then set about finding the perfect property to turn our dream of owning a holiday home into reality"
One of the earliest challenges Montville Holiday House faced was that the house was quite run down when purchased. It is a delightful "Old Queenslander" style house located on top of Balmoral Ridge (one of the highest points along the Blackall Range Scenic Drive).
Interestingly, it wasn''t until after Nicola & Andrew had purchased the house that they found out from neighbors that it was originally the old port masters cottage from Caloundra. Apparently, the area of land at the current address used to be a dairy farm and the original owner purchased the old port masters cottage as a gift for his wife. He then relocated the house from Caloundra to it''s new home adjacent to Balmoral Park midway between Maleny and Montville on the Sunshine Coast.

Moving forward, Montville Holiday House is continually upgrading and restoring the house to it''s former glory.
