The dynamic and differentiated growth in the use of servo drives at machines by 2020

The use of servo drives at machines will grow dynamically and at an above-average rate until 2020. This is one of the main findings of Quest TechnoMarketing's market survey in the German machinery industry, which was reported from an initial report in Quest Trend Magazine.

The growth in the use of servo drives in the sectors of machinery industry is very different. Quest TechnoMarketing investigated the ten automation-relevant sectors of the German machinery industry with companies with 100 and more employees. The growth rate of the servo use ranges from 3% to 16% per year until 2020, and the number of servos per machine covers a range of 2 to 19 servos per machine on average. After all, there are industries in which only 1% of the total servo potential will be used and those that absorb 20% of the servo potential.
