Growth expectations up to 2020 for building, glass and ceramic machines significantly higher than in mechanical engineering
The higher growth expectations in the building, glass and ceramic machinery sector reflect the recent sharp rise in production growth.
(firmenpresse) - Production in the building, glass and ceramic machinery sector grew by 75% in the last two years as a related industry report to production and sales in this sector highlights in the Quest Trend Magazine. This positive development naturally influenced the growth expectations of machine manufacturers in this sector.
Manufacturers of building, glass and ceramic machines expect their machine production to grow by 7.5% per year by 2020. This expectation is one third higher than growth expectations in the machinery industry. There, growth is expected to reach 5.5% per year by 2020. This is the result of a market study conducted by Quest TechnoMarketing in the German machinery industry about the use of servo drives to 2020.
The Quest Trend Magazine s new industry report divides growth expectations into various growth ranges. It is instructive to see growth expectations for building, glass and ceramic machines split. With 57%, more than half of the machine builders in this sector do not expect any growth in machine production by 2020. 43% of the machine builders, however, expect above-average growth of between 10% and 20% per year.
This division also reflects the uneven development of the four product segments in this sector and the uneven situation of global industrial production and the most important export markets.

The Quest Trend Magazine has published further industry reports about printing and paper machines, conveyor, rubber/plastic machines, wood processing machines, food processing machines, robotics and automation, packaging machines and machine tools.
These industry reports about the economic situation and the trends in automation technology make it easier for machine-builders to both classify their experiences, planning in long-term context and determining their position.
