This is a huge milestone for the Camp Hill, PA-based automotive electronics sales, service, and installation business, which has served the industry and consumers since 1928.
R. T. Grim Company got its start when founder Russel T. Grim decided to jump on the newest electronics device, the radio.
One of the earliest challenges R. T. Grim Company faced was going through the Great Depression. Surviving such bad times is what lead the company to become such a well-known name in the car electronics sales and repair industry.
While every business faces challenges, some, like R. T. Grim Company are fortunate enough to enjoy real success. One such success came when the company decided to move its focus over to the installation and service of car radios after World War II since that was the new thing. The company saw a change in the marketplace and became extremely adept at evolving with each new era of electronics by following the trends.
Mike Wentz, owner of R. T. Grim Company, was also quoted when discussing another big win. "One of the key points in R. T. Grim Company''s history so far was when we decided to focus on selling, installing, and servicing all the new electronics devices coming out in the automotive world; currently including car alarms, back up cameras, dash cams, car stereo systems, automotive DVD players, remote starts and more. The most significant portion of our business is the repair of automotive instrument clusters. We service these at a national level and have been an industry leader for more than 30 years."
