The Robotics and Automation industry is growing extremely dynamically - new Quest industry report
(firmenpresse) - The Robotics and Automation sector of the German mechanical engineering has proven itself to be a dynamic driver for higher efficiency, particularly in the last two years. This applies both with regard to its economic position in machinery industry and with regard to the application of their products by machine-builders.
Quest TechnoMarketing investigated both aspects. The economic situation of the industry is examined in a current industry report, published in the Quest Trend Magazine on http://www.quest-trendmagazine.com/en/machinery-industry/robotics-and-automation/robotics-and-automation-production-and-sales.html
Production and sales in the Robotics and Automation sector had already exceeded the pre-crisis level in 2010 sales by 9% compared to 2008, with production still 2% in 2017 below pre-crisis levels.
The industry report identifies the value of each of the four product segments like assembly lines, automatic assembly machines, assembly machines and industrial robots in euros per unit from 2008 to 2017, which can be used to derive the positioning of these product segments in the market. The average value of industrial robots has fallen continuously by 16% that of assembly lines has risen by 50%.
When Quest TechnoMarketing investigated in 2015 the use of robots in the German machinery industry until 2018, the growth expectations of machine-builders from the Robotics and Automation sector were 8% per year. The dynamic development of the sector has even exceeded these high growth expectations. The industry''s annual production growth between 2015 and 2017 was 11%.
Quest TechnoMarketing''s market survey about the use of robots shows that 51% of machine-builders in the ten automation-relevant mechanical engineering industries will use robots in 2018. Machine-builders, who use or intend to use robots, have significantly higher growth expectations than machine builders without robots. 13% annual growth in the number of machines with robots is expected until 2018.
A short report to this market survey is published in the Quest Trend Magazine on http://www.quest-trendmagazine.com/en/machinery-industry/robots/robots-in-machinery-industry-to-2018.html
The industry reports about the economic situation and the trends in automation technology make it easier for machine-builders to both classify their experiences and planning into long-term context and determine their position.
