Those looking for a bit more adrenalin-pumping action could try the various mountain bike trails in the area which start with gentle low level routes and progress up to serious downhill trails. Just because the snow has melted doesn’t mean that you can’t enjoy a bit of ice skating! The rink in Morzine’s Parc des Dereches has its own café/bar with music, so if you don’t want to get onto the ice you can relax and watch the kids sliding around instead.
Summer Luge
Another sport which makes the transition from winter to summer in Morzine is sledging on the resort’s impressive luge run. Definitely one for adrenaline-seeking teens, the summer sledges follow two courses of various difficulty levels from the top of the Pleney gondola and the top of the Crusaz chairlift.
Aquariaz Water Park
What teen doesn’t love a waterpark? Spend the day at the Aquariaz in Avoriaz and watch your teenagers splash around in the indoor lazy river, the ‘slidewinder’ and the large swimming pool. There are also natural climbing walls at the centre for the kids to have a go on.
Tree-top Adventures And Zipwires
For adventure which takes in the beautiful mountain surroundings, take a family trip to the tree-top park and the Fantasticable zipwire run. Walk wooden bridges and rope trails high up in the treetops of Morzine’s beautiful forests at one of the local tree-top adventure parks. Then head over to Fantasticable for a three kilometre zipline journey through the beautiful Alpine countryside.
