Okay, so Easter is not a time of guaranteed sunshine in the British Isles (but then, let’s be honest, neither is mid-August) but if you’re willing to take a chance on the weather then there is a host of cheap family travel options to enjoy.
From renting a caravan on the dramatic Devon coast to playing soldiers at the interactive National Army Museum during a stay in London, there is so much to do in the UK for families with young children.

Other options for good Easter deals include Portugal, Cyprus and the Greek islands; remember that holidays which haven’t sold by now will be offered at lower prices just to get people in, so take full advantage and bag yourself a deal.

Some might say April is the best time to visit this beautiful Balearic island as the weather is great (average temperatures of 17ºC and up to seven hours of sunlight – just think of all that vitamin D). •Portugal for Kids
With guaranteed sunshine and beautifully warm temperatures this is a great time of year to visit the Algarve. Companies like Tots To Travel offer great packages for families at Easter so bag yourself some much needed spring sunshine.
Rather than sitting around indoors eating chocolate this Easter, you could be enjoying the sights of Great Britain or soaking up some foreign sun – all it takes is a little research into the many great cheap family travel deals that are out there.
