I was a second generation SDA for the very first 36 years of my life. I defended Adventist Doctrines plus the teaching of Ellen G White with all of my religious information.
Then 1 day I asked my self "why am I SDA"? I all prepared new the answer. The explanation I was SDA was due to the fact that may be what I was taught from robust SDA parents considering the fact that birth. Back then I was a compliance youngster and generally wanted to please and have my parent''s approval. Then if that is definitely the case what if my parents exactly where robust believing Jehovah Witness. Once more getting a compliance child I as well would have been a sturdy believing Jehovah Witness defending the Watch Tower doctrine and going door to door witnessing to men and women. If my parents were powerful devoted Catholics, I also would happen to be a powerful devoted Catholic defended the doctrine on the Virgin Mary as a mediator between us and Jesus Christ.
I understand that we come to God with all of our denominational bias and pre-conceived premises taught to us by our parents, buddies, neighbors, watching Television plus the list goes on. If our premise is wrong then our final conclusions will likely be wrong. What I mean is that absolutely everyone usually asks God to show and prove to them inside the bible that there religion would be the true religion and all of the others are fundamentally wrong. We endeavor to back God into a corner and force him to think our preconceived biases.
So by way of example when you are a Catholic then you definitely ask God to show you in your bible that being Catholic is the accurate religion or should you be a Jehovah Witness by way of example then you would ask God to show and prove to you that the Bible supports the Watch Tower and there teachings on doctrines. This could apply to all religions just not Christianity.
The bible never ever stated that this religion or that religion would be the truth irrespective of whether you''re Catholic, Jehovah Witness, Seventh Day Adventist, Protestants, Buddhist, Hindu, New Ager, Oprah Winfrey, my Pastor, Mother, Brother, Sister or who ever may be the truth. God said it Holy Spirit that leads us to all truth and also the Holy Spirit leads us to Jesus Christ who''s God plus the only solution to eternal life and he''s our life. This is the reason I really feel we have countless unique religions.
The only strategy to fully grasp Gods Word is usually to enable God to teach it to you. Who is superior to teach us the truth concerning the bible than the Author of your Bible Him Self? You have to come to God and humble your self and start off in the starting saying God I am going to forget what my pastor taught me, what I heard on Tv, what my parents taught me, my friends, neighbors who ever. I am going to trust that you could and will lead me and teach me all the truth you wish me to know and if you want me to know it. That may be faith that God is pleases with and we know with out faith it really is impossible to please God.
