IBB Consulting ascends Mount Kilimanjaro to raise two years of operating costs for Pakistan's Jattal School; receives Social and Community Investment award

Consulting Magazine acknowledged IBB Consulting in the Employee-Motivated Volunteer Project category of its 2016 Social & Community Investment Awards program, marking the second consecutive year IBB has received this acknowledgement.
IBB employees approached firm leadership with a proposal to raise funds for Developments in Literacy''s (DIL) Jattal School. 100% of money raised would go to DIL in support of the Jattal School, which needed support to continue its mission of providing free education. Supplies, books, computer labs, scholarships and improved building upkeep would all be important contributing factors to the school''s success. IBB committed to raising funds that would keep the school fully operational for a year as an initial goal. Employees doubled the first year goal, driven by its successful "Climb For Kids" program that saw team members scale Mount Kilimanjaro to raise awareness, rally support and raise donations.

Developments in Literacy educates and empowers underprivileged students, especially girls, by operating student-centered model schools, with high-quality professional development available to teachers and principals in Pakistan. The firm''s employee-developed IBB Community Action Network (ICAN) targeted DIL as a primary source for fundraising and support after learning about the need of the organization''s member schools and the difference that could be made for enrolled students. IBB''s ability to double planned fundraising efforts gives the Jattal School additional flexibility in how it can allocate funds to keep the school operational while simultaneously improving retention and enrollment efforts.
The firm''s latest work with DIL follows last year''s successful "Video Pen Pal Project" program that was developed by IBB employees to help students enhance English language studies. IBB team members recruited a rotating set of volunteers, finalized material themes for each recording session and set up multiple video recording booths. Each IBB employee volunteer also transcribed their videos and edited them, added in text and stitched the videos together to send to the Jattal School.
