Patient-friendly dental process chain provides time and cost savings
(PresseBox) - DATRON AG supports Software AG at CeBIT 2016 with DATRON Dental CAD/CAM expertise. Themed "Bright Smiles Through Smart Technology", Software AG''s University Relations Program shows advanced aspects of the dental research project COMMANDD, which seamlessly integrates all active players, relevant data and technical parameters needed for a patient treatment with dental restaurations in one digital workflow. The DATRON Dental CAD/CAM machine DATRON D1 pure is part of the solution.

With the help of a new digital data management system, the core technologies of the dental digital process chain are connted via a single platform. Through its data storage and workflow management functions new possibilities for time and cost savings open up. Thus, patients can be treated quickly and inexpensively with high-quality dental restaurations. The COMMANDD research project was initially implemented with this objective led by DATRON AG at TU Darmstadt. The university has developed the advanced software system shown at CeBIT 2016 including Software AG''s webMethods technology, which guarantees flexibility, expandability and scalability through a cloud interface. DATRON supports the company''s University Relations Program showcase at Software AG''s booth C11 in Hall 4 with the desktop dental machine D1 pure, acting in the digital process as a networked milling center and produces individual workpieces on-site.
DATRON AG develops, produces and sells innovative CNC milling machines for the processing of future-oriented materials such as aluminum and composite materials, dental milling machines for the efficient processing of all common dental materials in dental laboratories and high-performance dispensing machines for industrial sealing and bonding applications. With the help of latest technology, backed by numerous patents and the integration into a comprehensive service package, DATRON offers unique solutions.
More than 25 agencies worldwide supply customers in the electronics, metal, plastic and automotive industries, aerospace, dental and medical sectors (Overview agencies). Around 240 employees in 2014 achieved sales of approximately EUR 38.2 million - thus keeping DATRON AG on a strong growth path. For its innovative technology and unique design, the engineering company repeatedly received awards such as the internationally renowned Red Dot Product Design Award or the ZIM Prize of the Federal Ministry of Economy and Development.
