WILFRIED SAUER UND ARND WAGNER HAVE JOINED TOPCOM
On February 1, 2016, Wilfried Sauer and Arnd Wagner have joined topcom, based in Frankfurt, Germany. Along with Stephan M. Cremer they build the management team of the communications firm that was founded in 1985. In addition to the agency’s current competence areas, creating acceptance, PR campaigns, clients form the public sector and dialogue communication, topcom will focus on crisis communications and digital communications.
(firmenpresse) - Since its foundation in 1985, topcom has been one of the first communications agencies in Germany specialized on corporate communications and public affairs, creating public stakeholder acceptance as well as servicing clients from the public sector. A first major area of activities has been environmental communication. Featuring the background of its new partners, topcom in the future will focus also on change management, change communications, marketing communications and crisis communications. topcom advises its clients in using traditional communication channels or pursuing contemporary paths such as social media or participation tools – or a combination of both. A special emphasis of Topcom lies on comprehensively supporting private equity portfolio companies during the classic phases of entering the portfolio, creating value, and exit with their respective communication challenges.

After 10 years as a newspaper editor, Wilfried Sauer took up a career in communications. Since then he has shaped the communication processes, organizations and activities of many international companies. He has experienced all the ups and downs in companies’ life spans, from IPOs to closing sites, from M&A to global product recalls, from carve-outs to restructuring. Since he moved from corporate to consulting 10 years ago, he has leveraged these experiences to provide efficient and sometimes unusual communication solutions as an eye-level partner for his clients. He enjoys strategic challenges and communication training and is a renowned expert in crisis communications. He has received various international awards.
Arnd Wagner has been a communications and public affairs professional for more than 25 years, of which he spent more than 20 in global companies in change or crisis situations. Having worked for many years for numerous lateral-thinking, target-oriented CEOs and board members, he subsequently acquired a lateral-thinking and success-oriented working attitude himself. Arnd mistrusts routine paths, always exploring new ways if they appear to be more promising and efficient. His clients, primarily from the industry, services and media sectors, look upon him as a challenging, sometimes uncomfortable partner in developing and implementing successful communications. Arnd enjoys crisis communications and is convinced that Facebook represents the past and not the future of social media.
