BofA Merrill Slips to Second Place; Barclays and Deutsche Tie for Third

J.P. Morgan''s victory this year must be especially sweet. Last year the firm claimed five fewer positions than it won in 2014 (forcing it to share the winner''s circle with rival Bank of America Merrill Lynch, with 14 spots apiece), but it regains all the ground it lost and then some, for a 2016 total of 20 positions.
BofA Merrill slips to second place even though its team total rises to 17. Barclays and Deutsche Bank repeat at No. 3 with 11 spots each, while Citi''s gain of one position, to five, propels it from seventh place to tie for fifth with Royal Bank of Scotland:
