Talk A Bit 2016: the social impact of technology
Francisco Almada Lobo, CEO of Critical Manufacturing, will be among the speakers and he will talk a bit about the Factories of the Future
(PresseBox) - 4th edition of the Talk A Bit, a student organized tech conference, will take place on 30 of January 2016. This year?s event will focus on how society can take advantage of technological advances in several areas.
Biotechnology, smart cities, information security, enterprise mobility and Internet of Things are some of the areas to be discussed, with special attention to the impact of technology.
In previous editions, the event gathered an audience of about 200 people, including students, teachers and professionals. This year?s agenda is filled with many exciting talks and impressive names such as Ricardo Maciera (Portugal Head at Airbnb), Rui Bento (General Manager at Uber Portugal) or Paulo Dimas (Head of Product at Unbabel).
Critical Manufacturing has eagerly promoted and supported the previous Talk A Bit initiative, especially that many of our talented engineers have Faculdade de Engenharia da Universidade do Porto (FEUP) background.
This year Francisco Almada Lobo, CEO of Critical Manufacturing, will also join the speakers? crew to talk a bit about the factories of the future:
?The key aspect of the factories of the futures lies on a concept, which is as striking as it is fascinating: Cyber-Physical Systems, the Internet of Things and the Internet of Services will collectively result in a disruptive impact on every business domain of manufacturing companies. It is a fusion of the physical and the virtual worlds into what is being called the 4th industrial revolution, which unlike all others is being predicted before it happens.?
