BorgWarner presents its comprehensive range of commercial vehicle technologies at COMTRANS 2015 in Russia
(firmenpresse) - Auburn Hills, Michigan, September 8, 2015 – BorgWarner displays its latest technologies such as exhaust gas recirculation (EGR) modules, Compact Variable Coolant Pumps (CVCP), its award-winning regulated two-stage (R2S®) turbocharging technology and variable turbine geometry (VTG) turbochargers in Hall 15, Booth 15-180, at this year’s COMTRANS in Moscow, Russia. Established as one of the most important fairs for commercial vehicles worldwide, the 13th COMTRANS takes place at the International Exhibition Center Crocus Expo from September 8 to 12. In addition, BorgWarner will also present other advanced technologies such as Visctronic® fan drives, advanced diesel cold-start technologies as well as its extensive turbocharger aftermarket lineup.

Current emissions standards require cutting-edge EGR technologies to reduce combustion temperatures and decrease nitrogen oxide (NOx) emissions by recirculating and cooling exhaust gases. Built to deliver efficiency and reliability, BorgWarner’s EGR modules incorporate an EGR cooler, EGR valve and a bypass valve into one compact package. Additionally, BorgWarner’s new EGR modules enable numerous powertrain strategies including low-pressure as well as high-pressure EGR systems. Operating reliably even under challenging conditions, BorgWarner’s EGR valves and actuator technologies facilitate precise and responsive control combined with high flow capability and first-class sealing as well as excellent corrosion and heat resistance.
BorgWarner’s CVCP combines a conventional coolant pump with an electronic viscous drive to manage the pump’s impeller speed. The system responds to engine operating conditions within three seconds, providing the required coolant flow while reducing parasitic losses for improved fuel economy of up to 1.5 percent.
