Iconic Tumut Amaroo Motel Changes Ownership
​Tumut's award winning Amaroo Motel has been sold to new proprietors John and Bernadette Mossman.
(firmenpresse) - Mrs Bernadette Mossman, new owner of Amaroo Motel said, "The change in Ownership has gone seamlessly and the regular guests have welcomed us with the continuation of their valued patronage." She went on to say, "The new ownership brings with it the commitment to continue the high standards of service and facilities which saw it receive local tourism and business awards in 2005, 2010 and this year also.€Â
Tumut is a town in the Riverina region of New South Wales Australia and situated on the banks of the Tumut River. Tumut is at the foothills of the Snowy Mountains and is approximately 410 kilometres south-west of Sydney and 525 kilometres (330 mi) north-east of Melbourne.
It is home to a number of historic buildings, including an Anglican church designed by Edmund Blacket and a Courthouse designed by James Barnet. Many of the hotels in the town have been in use from the mid to late 1800s. The Amaroo Motel is located at 55 Capper Street and within short walking distance of all township amenities and these historic buildings.
Early settlers established a large number of European deciduous trees throughout the area. The stand of Poplars, Elm and Willow create a well renowned display of colour over autumn. Tumut celebrates this with the yearly Festival of the Falling Leaf.
Mrs Mossman said, "We are delighted with the support we have received from those associated with the motel and want to build greater ties with local tour operators for mutual benefit. We will be bringing over 15 years of motel industry experience to build on the motels fine history in the region.€Â

It has recently been sold and now owned and operated by Mr and Mrs Mossman The motel has 28 rooms and is located in a historic township well known for its architecture and nearby trout fishing.
