IVU opens office in Switzerland
Customer support and sales activities boosted
(firmenpresse) - Berlin, 22 July 2015 – IVU Traffic Technologies AG continues to expand. The German public-transport IT specialist is now present in Switzerland, having opened a new office in Basel.
In IVU, Swiss railway and transport companies now have a direct point of contact in a prime location in the centre of Basel. With the likes of Swiss Federal Railways (SBB), PostBus Switzerland and Zurich Public Transport (VBZ), IVU boasts several prestigious customers in the country with the densest transport network in the world. They now have a locally-based personal contact. In addition, IVU is boosting its sales activities in the tri-border region of Switzerland, Germany and France with its office in Basel.
Marc Schaffert, Head of Sales and Key Account Manager of IVU for Switzerland, explained, “The new office underlines how important Switzerland is to IVU. In particular, our customers will benefit from the direct support and closer cooperation made possible by this step. At the same time, we are further extending our involvement in this key target market and laying the foundation for strategically enhancing our strong position in Europe.”
The longstanding partnership with the Zurich-based consultancy firm STI will also benefit from having IVU nearby. As a result, there are likely to be more joint projects and closer coordination in the future. The Swiss office will also strengthen the strategic partnership in e-ticketing solutions with Scheidt & Bachmann and reinforce the existing collaboration.
In Switzerland, IVU offers its leading solutions IVU.suite and IVU.rail for all fields of activity of public transport companies and railway operators in Switzerland. The product range includes integrated timetable, staff-roster and schedule planning with extensive optimisation functions, staff and vehicle dispatching including depot management, a full AVL/ITC system, sophisticated controlling tools, and modules and hardware solutions for passenger information and ticketing.
