Priority Poll provides more options to invest players’ preference
In the fourth priority poll, Jagex will focus more on what types of contents players like rather than specific pieces of contents. This is reflected in three parts.
Firstly, there are five options to response the importance of single content: Not at all important; not very important; this is important; this is very important; and this should be a priority. Secondly, there are different level tiers: Low: Skill level 1 - 59 (combat 3 - 75); Medium: Skill level 60 - 85 (combat 76 - 108); High: Skill level 86+ (combat 109+). Thus players can choose what they would like to see for some types of contents.
Finally, various types of contents are provided for players to tell how important they are and thus decide the top priority. These contents include all three level tiers for PVM, Skilling, and Quests; QoL updates; Old school designed clan system; PvP content; more tools for players to contribute directly to the development process; Solo content; and Group content.
The current issues will be fixed no matter what result of priority poll
As the priority poll published, there are plenty of discussions on the subject of fixing the current issues such as Zulrah, NMZ, Wyverns, and AFK splashing. Beyond all questions, the current contents are an important part for the game. And Mod Mat has also explained that the reason that fixing the current issue isn''t going into a priority poll is because they''ll be fixed no matter what. So players can still expect for improvement for Deadman Mode and other current contents.
Focus on the most important things but not the least important ones
It seems that most players love PVM more than other contents, which cause to players’ worries about Quest, Skilling or other contents. Thus some ideas are provided to make a balance. For example, giving several priority polls that only includes PVM, Quests, or skilling updates, or following all options according to their importance: high priority comes first, low priority comes later. On this occasion, Mod Mat indicated that a poll on what content you want adding for each category is likely to happen. However, players have to accept that some content is unlikely to ever be made, “we have a small development team which needs to be really focused and offer the biggest impact they can for you”. So the most important things should be focused on, while the least important things are likely not.
