(PresseBox) - In the changing market environment for optical products, Dr. Ralf Mayer is shifting the focus of development at Schneider-Kreuznach increasingly towards the growing industrial division. To this end, the company is working together with customers and system providers as partners. ?We want to be as close to the market as possible, not only in the area of film and photography, but above all in industrial applications,? says Dr. Mayer. Schneider-Kreuznach has extensive expertise in the area of optical, optoelectronic and mechanical products. The company intends to expand its development and product focus to encompass automotive solutions.
Dr. Ralf Mayer was born in 1962. He studied at the University of Kaiserslautern, where he also received his doctor?s degree in 1997. He started his career in 1998 in the development division at Wipotec GmbH. After that, he held senior positions in the area of development at Siemens VDO Automotive AG, Viaoptic GmbH, Robert Bosch GmbH and Johnson Controls Automotive Electronics GmbH. He joined Schneider-Kreuznach in fall 2014.
