Anderson, the author of six books including SOAR to the Top!, , and Extra Mile America: Stories of Inspiration, Possibility and Purpose, will take his empowering "go the extra mile" message to the Philippine Islands from July 18 thru August 2, 2015. Speaking to a variety of non-profit outreach and community organizations, Anderson has set a goal of reaching 20,000 people for his free events.
"My tour mission is simple. I want to share with as much passion as I can, to as many people as I can, that when we go the extra mile in life, we create our very best lives," Anderson shares. "I don''t believe in just dreaming about the life we want to live; I do believe in taking action and living the life we want to live."
Anderson is the Founder of Extra Mile America and the creator of ... a day recognizing the capacity we each have to create positive change when we go the extra mile. On November 1, 2014, 527 U.S. cities made the unique declaration and recognized those in their local communities who were going the extra mile in volunteerism and service.
Anderson doesn''t just talk about themes such as "go the extra mile" and "live the life you love"; he lives them. In 2014, this lifetime entrepreneur hiked 550 miles across Spain in 27 days. Shortly before he visits the Philippines this year, he will have hiked 400 miles across Portugal. Additionally, Anderson has biked the U.S. solo twice, run a 100-mile race and created adventures around the world. With 75,000 book copies in print, Anderson says he''s only just begun.
"It doesn''t matter how old we are or what obstacles we have to overcome. Our best days are only over when we say they are over," Anderson states.
