The fifth generation of ibaLogic offers continuity and innovation
Proven graphical programming system for signal processing signals with new runtime system
(firmenpresse) - The PC based measurement and automation system ibaLogic of the Fuerth based iba AG is released now in the fifth generation. The current version has been extended by numerous new functions and an even more intuitive user interface. At the core of the system, there is a completely new development, the so called runtime system based on a Programmable Automation Controller (PAC). iba has enhanced this architecture that is commonly used in modern PLC systems by the typical properties of a measurement system.
Typical areas of application for ibaLogic are online signal processing in measurement systems, e.g. Condition Monitoring, implementation of process models for optimizing the production as well as interfacing systems from different manufacturers as part of modernizations. The system is also used for modifying and extending automation systems as well as for connecting the basic automation with IT systems in the MES world. By combining the features of a powerful controller with the properties of a measurement system, ibaLogic is perfectly suited for the use in automatic test benches.
The new ibaLogic version is available in different performance classes: The license-free entry-level version ibaLogic-V5-Lite is suitable for the use in less complex plants. The full version offers the complete range of functions with connectivity for iba measurement technology, OPC server, an unlimited number of TCP/IP connections and clock cycle times of down to 1 ms. In compact machine-oriented solutions ibaLogic can run directly on the communication module of the modular measurement and automation system ibaPADU-S and perform control tasks in real time.
Barrier-free configuration
A very intuitive handling is the main focus of the fifth version. The user can develop his solution using the graphic user interface almost without any prior knowledge and sees the results immediately due to animated connectors and the integrated multichannel recorder ibaPDA-Express. "Compiling, loading and storing are things of the past; at least the user feels it to be that way", explains Dr. Ulrich Lettau, CEO of iba AG. In case of modifications, the program executed in the runtime system is updated automatically and with instantaneous and bumpless changeover. This is why ibaLogic is helpful wherever a simple way to modify a program is needed without interrupting the execution of the program.
