is an international competition where teams of engineers and architects design and build amazing structures completely from non-perishable food. The theme for this year''s Calgary competition is "I-CAN-ic Structures of the World"- think pyramids, Easter Island, Big Ben. The structures will be on display from March 19-26 in Southcentre Mall''s Centre Court, and all of the food will be transported to the Calgary Food Bank on the 27th. You won''t want to miss checking these out!

March 20th is the first day of spring as well as the International Day of Happiness! Join us at the to celebrate happiness and what it means to you. The event will raise awareness of the importance of fresh food donations for the Calgary Food Bank. The Calgary Food Bank will be on site both days collecting donations. On Friday, March 20th from 11:00AM-12:30PM, there will be two speakers discussing happiness. Karen Anderson, founder of Calgary Food Tours, will discuss the benefits of eating local; Karen Judge will discuss why happiness matters.
