Ellsworth Growth and Income Fund Ltd. Announces Results of Annual Shareholders'' Meeting
(firmenpresse) - MORRISTOWN, NJ -- (Marketwired) -- 02/09/15 -- The Board of Trustees of Ellsworth Growth and Income Fund Ltd. (NYSE MKT: ECF) today announced that the following actions were taken at the Annual Shareholders'' meeting held on Monday, February 9th: (1) two trustees were elected; (2) the selection of Tait, Weller & Baker LLP as independent auditors for the 2015 fiscal year was ratified; and (3) a shareholder proposal that would request that the Board of Trustees begin the process of amending the Declaration of Trust was defeated.
Ellsworth Growth and Income Fund Ltd. is a diversified, closed-end investment company. The Fund''s investment objective is to maximize total return over time through a combination of current income and capital growth, while taking on less than commensurate risk. This traditional closed-end fund seeks to achieve its objective by investing in a diversified portfolio primarily consisting of income producing equity securities, such as convertible bonds and preferreds, and dividend paying common shares. The goal of the Fund is to be a means for reduced volatility equity investing where the standard deviation of returns is less than that of the S&P 500. Its shares are traded on the NYSE MKT Exchange under the ticker symbol ECF.
