Definite bookings for two-thirds of last year's exhibition space already
When one fair ends, the next one opens its doors. Even though there are still many months to go until the next FMB - The supplier show for mechanical engineering - starts on 4 November 2015, firm bookings have already been received from 215 exhibitors to date (last updated: 15 January 2015). Owing to the fact that some exhibiting companies have enlarged their stands once again in relation to last year, they have now already taken up two-thirds of the space in 2014. The fair is thus set to grow once more.
(firmenpresse) - And yet last year''s supplier show was the largest and most successful to date: Compared with FMB 2013, a significant increase of 10 % was achieved with the number of exhibitors rising to 485 and an exhibition area covering 15,500 m². The number of visitors also exceeded the 6,000 mark for the first time since the fair started out.
As in the past, world market leaders such as Bosch, Rexroth, Festo, SEW, Siemens and Wittenstein have registered for the 2015 event. Added to these are numerous global players from East Westphalia-Lippe for whom the fair is a "home match". Among such suppliers are Beckhoff, Harting, Phoenix Contact and Rose + Krieger.
These companies will once again be showcasing their products and services, a clear indication of their positive experiences of the event. There will also be more than 25 first-time exhibitors such as Automated Packaging Systems (packaging technology), Bionic Robotics (robotics), Eckstein (hydraulics) Expresso (materials handling technology), Otto Ganter (standard parts), pk Components (electronic components), Rollon (drive engineering) and SIKO (measurement engineering).
The attractiveness of FMB is added to by the new users'' fair for plastics engineer-ing FKT, which will be held alongside the mechanical engineering show. In North Rhine-Westphalia (NRW), a federal state with a high concentration of plastics engineering companies, East Westphalia-Lippe ranks among the leading regions and its supply industry is among the top three locations in Germany, particularly in the production of automotive components, electronics and household appliances. The synergistic effects involved offer a double benefit for visitors and exhibitors of both fairs, of FKT and FMB.
Despite the fact that the fair is growing, it will, nevertheless, retain its character.
Christian Enßle, FMB Show Manager: "We provide exhibitors and visitors with a platform on which supply and demand can come together - taking part in the show requires little cost and effort on the part of the exhibitors while visitors are offered a high degree of convenience. FMB is where engineers, buyers and decision-makers are among themselves, and they have the opportunity to engage in discussions on potential joint projects in a focused manner."
The fair has grown with this concept over the past ten years, and is attracting ever-increasing attention. Visitors meanwhile travel to the event from the entire northern half of Germany as well as from neighbouring states. It is also anticipated that suppliers from foreign countries will make up a higher proportion of the exhibitors. The Confederation of Danish industry alone will be coming with thirty suppliers who will present their product portfolios.
