Saia Distributes 2015 "Safety" Calendar
Calendar Features the Artwork of Over 60 Children

(NASDAQ: SAIA) is pleased to announce that Saia LTL Freight has distributed a 2015 calendar to customers that features the artwork of children, grandchildren, and extended family members of company employees. The calendar is the result of Saia''s second annual poster contest, which was held earlier in 2014. Children, grandchildren, and nieces and nephews of company employees were invited to submit a poster illustrating what safety means to them.
"Both the poster contest and the calendar are a great way to involve the families of our employees," explained Saia LTL Freight Director of Safety Karla Staver. "We want our employees, their families, and our customers to know that safety truly is the company''s number one goal."
Each month of the calendar includes entries from children showing how much it means to them that their family members are safe at work. This year''s pictures depict everything from drivers in their trucks to Saia "superheroes" and safety reminders regarding texting, seatbelts, and tires.
"It is obvious when you see the posters that employees have communicated the importance of workplace safety to their families," said Staver. "We are proud of our employees and the work they perform, safely, each and every day on behalf of our shippers."
From the submissions received, a first, second and third place winner was selected and recognized with a cash award. Madison Lamarche, the daughter of Claremore, Okla. City Driver Michael Lamarche, was named the first place winner. Her submission is featured on the front of the 2015 calendar and it is being turned into a poster that will be distributed to each of Saia LTL Freight''s terminals for display.
