MOCON launches fully automated WVTR measurement system PERMATRAN-W® 3/34 G
The first water vapour transmission rate measurement system of MOCON's new product generation
(PresseBox) - Having introduced the first product OX-TRAN® 2/22 H of the new generation at Interpack 2014, MOCON now brings the first WVTR measurement system to the market, the PERMATRAN-W® 3/34 G
The new instrument will save significant time and associated costs.
In automatic mode the PERMATRAN-W 3/34 allows the operator to simply mount a test film, set the temperature and relative humidity conditions and begin the test.
This is made possible by MOCON?s new TotalCal? capability, which improves accuracy and eliminates significant set up time.
With TotalCal four NIST film calibrations are stored and a calibration curve is generated across the system?s entire range.
Regardless of the sample''s transmission rate TotalCal assures an error-free and accurate result every time.
An up-to-date touch screen tablet allows easy and intuitive operation so that training and learning periods are reduced to a minimum. Next samples, both films and packages, can be prepared outside of the device by means of removable test cells.
Several measures like sensor overrange protection, gas saver mode and higher capacity by shorter testing times reduce the cost of ownership significantly.
