ISK Optics merges with parent company Jos. Schneider Optische Werke
(PresseBox) - In the course of restructuring the Schneider Group, subsidiary ISK Optics GmbH, Göttingen, has merged with parent company Jos. Schneider Optische Werke GmbH, Bad Kreuznach, with retrospective effect as of 1 January 2014. Business operations and all existing business relations at the Göttingen site will be continued. Wolfgang Selzer, Head of Finances at the Schneider Group, is no longer provisionally in charge of ISK Optics. ?Our aim is to bundle our technological expertise more effectively and design our internal organization structure more efficiently,? said Dr. Josef Staub, CEO of the Schneider Group. By merging the two companies, the Schneider Group is pressing on with its restructuring process in particular in the areas of development, production and finishing by realigning its core competences at the individual locations. All sales activities will be consolidated at Jos. Schneider Optische Werke in future.

The group comprises Jos. Schneider Optische Werke (Bad Kreuznach, Göttingen), founded in Bad Kreuznach in 1913, and its subsidiaries Pentacon (Dresden), Schneider-Optics (New York, Los Angeles), Schneider Bando (Seoul), Schneider Asia Pacific (Hong Kong) and Schneider Optical Technologies (Shenzhen).
